Thinkbook for Ipad - A filmmaker’s perspective
I’ve been looking for helpful ways of organizing notes and thoughts for my film script using my Ipad. I now use it more than my laptop because of the battery life. I recently came across a very unique App called Thinkbook. www.thinkbookapp.com
When writing, my ideas come all over the place and sometimes in and out of order….I used to use index cards to organize scenes and characters, spread all over my table, bed, or wherever else was near me. (Speaking of which, there’s another app called Index Card for the Ipad that does just that digitally….also terrific.)
What makes Thinkbook so unique though, is the extremely efficient way of handling notes and lists using quick flick gestures to indent children subheadings, or reorganizing notes at will using a very unique slider feature. There’s a slight learning curve to it, but once you get it, it’s amazing, and really makes writing notes and brainstorming a breeze. In fact, I don’t think I’ve seen anything faster or more efficient. For all you fellow writers out there, I think this is a hidden gem that can really be helpful to organizing your thoughts. As a director, I also see this as helpful for working on shotlists.
